If you love reducing food waste and riding bikes as much as we do, why not get in touch?

Some things you might like to know…

  • Cargo Bike Movement has volunteers that run collections 5 nights a week - Monday to Friday, inclusive.

  • If you have your own cargo bike or trailer, we welcome you both! If you don’t have a cargo bike, no worries, Cargo Bike Movement have some that you can use; you’ll just need to complete a short training session with our friends at Cycling Scotland first.

  • All of our bikes and activities are insured to give our volunteers peace of mind.

  • Most of Cargo Bike Movement’s bikes have power assist batteries to help you glide up those Edinburgh hills… and we’re not ashamed to use it!

  • One of the best things about volunteering with Cargo Bike Movement is the people you get to meet. That’s why our volunteers ride in pairs or groups.

We are delighted that we have so many volunteers so we aren’t training anyone else at the moment. However if you would like to join our waiting list please email: jamie@cargobikemovement.org

Support the movement

One of our first volunteers, Emily Willing, is an excellent designer and created our logo, bringing together the two most important elements of Cargo Bike Movement - bikes and community!

You too can support us by buying your own Cargo Bike Movement branded products, all made from organic cotton and printed in the UK in a renewable energy powered factory. 50% of Untamed’s profits go straight to Bike for Refugees.
